Find a soldier reported missing or killed in battle
In the last few years, The Military Ministry has put up a website named “Memorial of Men”
featuring a database of those fallen in the First World War. Thus you can have access to the death certificate of a given soldier and you can also verify if he has not been laid to rest in a military graveyard.
The “war graves” website lists the place of burial of the identified soldiers buried in national necropoles and communal military sections.
Engrave the name of a soldier in the Ossuary
Since the thirties, nearly 4000 headstones were engraved in the cloister of the Ossuary. Even to this day, you can still register the name of a grandparent on the Champ de Bataille (battleground) of Verdun.
